I have another self-care comic up at Sadie magazine today!
Here is a Kickstarter for a book that I did a piece for, please consider donating!
Milkyboots #14 has been delayed because I want to get it professionally printed and don't have the funds right now. I'm aiming for February and the LA Zine Fest!

So some people (well, at least one of my relatives) have been expressing a desire to see me post more (or anything, really). I haven't posted since June! Two months ago!
I've been busy. Not just work busy (Two jobs! Sewing work! Commissions!) but personal work busy. I'm digging deep, guys, doing some serious brain analysis. Getting down and dirty with my little life.
Part of this has been staying away from the internet. This shit does not make me happy, does not lead to good thought patterns for me on most days and wastes what precious little time I have to myself. So yeah, I haven't been around much. It's been better for me.
I have been drawing. Finally. I have a new comic up at Sadie, and I am working on Milkyboots #14. Yes, for realz. It will be the best issue of Milkyboots yet, I promise.
I may post some stuff soon, but I am also feeling an urge to go old school and not put any of it up before it comes out.
Yeah, so don't worry about me. I'm not curled up in a knot of misery, listening to "Someone That I Used to Know" on endless repeat, I'm forming myself into an awesome Super-Virginia, with biceps of steel, transcendent communication skills and a rubber-ball-like resilience.

In an attempt to alleviate my posting drought, I am going to put up my final project from the IPRC Comics Certificate Program every other day for the next couple weeks. I completed this project in 2010. It takes place in Philadelphia in the early aughts.
Also, my work, Sparkplug Books, is having a IndieGoGo fundraiser to raise funds to print our next three books. Please check it out, give if you can and pass it on. We really appreciate it! And we have some awesome prize packs!

I had an idea to do little comic/drawing things about some of my favorite MST3K episodes (hint: all the boring ones), so here is the first.
I watch MST3K constantly because I like to watch stuff while I draw like everyone else but! My disk drive doesn't work and my computer gets tired of streaming quickly and starts emitting garbled audio that is really creepy, especially if you are watching early episodes of Lost. So, I am stuck watching what I can on Youtube, the only streaming site my computer will put up with, hence: MST3K, all day, everyday.
Guys, I've been watching this show for fifteen years...that is crazy.

A little bit of catch-up today!
My latest comic for Sadie Magazine is up: Infinity Scarves!
The whole Sparkplug team has posted their Top 10 Comics of 2011 over at the Sparkplug blog.
Here is a post about our next graphic novel, Nurse Nurse!
I'm going to be posting old sketchbook pages for a couple weeks while I power through a couple comics due next month.

This is Gemma, from Katie Skelly's Nurse Nurse comic. It's really great and YOU should read it. I was going to try to do a "fanart Monday" regular thing for the blog, but it hasn't worked out.
So...I have work for three anthologies coming up plus my Sadie magazine gig, which is why I've been posting infrequently. It's good for me, boring for you. I will try to updates bits and pieces on here.
