Still Behind

On posting, that is. I haven't felt especially motivated to do these lately, sorry guys!



Panel two is ironic considering what happened two weeks later. I think it's for the best tho. I can't take credit for the "This is boring. I'm bored." Paris used to say it all the time.

Next Saturday is the Stumptown Underground zine release party (the sex issue!) at Floating World Comics. One of my drawings got into this issue! Stumptown Underground is a really awesome project and the party should be some sexy fun. They don't have the time of the party up on their site yet, but I'm sure it'll be up there soon.

Something Different, Again.

My class started up again, and our first assignment was to do something in a style different than our normal drawing. I enjoy the dreamy, dense work of Theo Ellsworth, so I made a page with lots of texture and tried to make it not as literal as my usual stuff. This is my diary for Thursday, January 28. I wanted to include a hint of Jim Woodring, but I couldn't muster my absurdist sensibilities this week. I also wanted to color it, but just didn't have time!

NYE, Party Time!

I apologize for the quality of this one, I haven't been around a scanner lately! I got laid off this week, so if anything, I'll at least be able to scan more often. If anyone has ideas for work for me, I'm open to suggestions. Sigh. On the positive side, Prop 66 & 67 passed in Oregon, meaning my roommate can keep working in her field and lots of adults with developmental disabilities will continue getting the support and care they need.

I know I've mentioned this blog before, but it still blows my mind and makes my heart ache everytime I read it: Every Saturday Morning.
